Before the raining season starts, we have to finish some things.We have cut the branches hanging over the roof, to avoid leaks caused by dripping.  Also, almost all the woodwork is treated now. Then, the gaps have been filled and the last plastering of the walls is in progress. Then, very important: in the raining season the plants will grow enormously. To make sure that the fresh, juicy, huge banana tree leaves and the orange tree leaves, for example, are not being eaten away (again), the fence needs mending. ‘Cause after less then two years the barbed wire started to rust away and the cows have learned where to snack… For the first time I’m starting to see the advantages of a  brick wall around the compound.
