The nearest village in the environment of Tintinto is Tujereng. A small place, but pretty lively. There’s somebody who makes great grilled chicken, there’s a football field  and the women of Tujereng sell their homegrown products at this little marketplace. 

Small portions of oil, salt, tomato paste and vegetables are sold per piece. A very different way of doing your shopping. But a nice experience! They’ll make you feel at home instantly. And they make you promise to come back soon. I can’t wait to make my own meals with local products. But before we’re ready to build the kitchen, the walls need plastering.
